We are so thankful to have had such a great month of November. We spent time down by the barn in preparation for our Thanksgiving Harvest at the end of the month. We studied the farm animals, practiced growing our own produce, and even got hands on when it came to the farmyard chores! Mooove over Farmer Brown, we've got this!
An oink, a moo, a cock-a-doodle doo! Who's in the barn playing peek-a-boo? We mastered these very vocal farm animals through crafts, math concepts, match-ups, movements, and more! We even learned some special Spanish vocabulary that helped to reinforce this topic. We were curious to understand that aside from their telltale noises the animals have some important and essential roles on the farm, which brings us to our next adventure....
Our classroom went WiLd! Casey the Cow and some silly silky sheep wandered over to our school for some hands-on play based-fun! We've never been more ready and eager to help! You can see us shearing and milking like true professionals. Here at Ladybug, we bring the farm to us!
We can also thank the farm for the delicious and nutritious fruits and veggies that it provides. How perfect that we have our own Farmer Corey to learn these farming tricks of the trade from! It's no secret that we already dig gardening, but eating these gems from nature is the sweetest reward!
We concluded the month by having our own Thanksgiving Harvest here at school. We were sure to take the time to understand the nature of the holiday and some of the history behind it. We are so thankful for the people we are surrounded by each day and the wonderful experiences we share together. See you next month in December!
