We are geography experts, adventure seekers, direction know-it-alls, transportation fanatics, and travel enthusiasts. It's only fitting that we book our trip and be on our way! This marked our final week traveling the world, grab your passports and come along for the ride!
First things first, wherever will we go? We put together a collaborative collage highlighting some appealing and interesting places around the world. A lot of our chosen scenes displayed gorgeous beaches and waterfront views, we are definitely on to something here...
But not before we create out passports! I was really excited to learn that a lot of our ladybugs already have passports, likely with more stamps than mine at this point! Simulating the foreign stamps and filling out all of our information was so much fun. If only traveling were always this simple!
Since the beach is on our mind (anything to get us out of this rain soaked month!), we decided to go shell collecting. The ladybugs loved categorizing, counting, and classifying all of the unique and exotic shells. Sure makes us wish this vacation were real...
Every savvy traveler must have all the right necessities packed! We spent circle time sorting, discussing, contrasting, and giggling over all kinds of items. Some real, some pretend, and some just plain bizarre! How have I ever packed before I had preschoolers to consult with?
This was too much fun to do on my own. Everyone had their hand at packing up suitcases! Not to mention they were much lighter and stylish to flaunt afterwards!
I love collecting postcards as mementos from trips. Hopefully I can get our students to share the same love of postcards, all the while sharpening their writing skills! Enjoy your thoughtful and handpicked postcards!
We ended our trip with some very meaningful souvenirs. I love letting the ladybugs take the wheel and recite personal stories, it gives us such insight and helps us connect! Here are some pictures to illustrate our travel show and tell!
We got buggy with Farmer Fred who helped us design these adorably adorned insects! Be sure to ask your preschooler about how many body parts and legs an insect has! We'll be sending these home next week incase they forget.
I had an amazing trip with everyone. Luckily the journey doesn't end here! Have a fantastic weekend, see you all on Monday!
