I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving with their loved ones! This week we focused on the meaning behind Thanksgiving and took time to reflect on what we appreciate most in our lives. We spent morning circle taking turns sharing and discussing what we are thankful for which served as inspiration for own Thanksgiving books that went home on Wednesday. Here are some pictures to recap the week!
We had to take advantage of the light snowfall that fell amid Monday morning's chilly temps. The crystals stood out wonderfully on the dark paper which prompted lots of interesting questions and shape discoveries. Hopefully we will have more snow to follow for more spontaneous lessons!
Back to all things turkey, we reused elements from nature to create these adorable pinecone turkeys. Each one is unique as all different colors and supplies were available to the children. We also got festive with these turkey inspired headbands to embrace our Thanksgiving feast! Couldn't you just gobble us up!?
One of the things that makes the holiday season so enjoyable are all the fun games that accompany it! We used our math skills, fine motor skills, and other interpretive methods to successfully conquer these fun and seasonally appropriate objectives. Take a look at all our play based learning!
We ended our short week with a healthy alternative to the traditional Thanksgiving spread. The Ladybugs loved this homemade fruit turkey complete with all their favorite snacks. You'll be happy to know that there were no leftovers- we devoured it!
There are so many things to be thankful for. We can all agree that we are thankful for Ladybug Preschool bringing us all together! Enjoy the rest of your weekend- see you on Monday!
